Soundcamp (2019)

In May of 2019 I worked as a volunteer recordist at the micro festival SoundCamp.

On International Dawn Chorus Day SoundCamp runs a 24 hour radio broadcast that tracks the sun around the globe at daybreak. Whilst this is running a number of talks and events are held ranging from analysis of sound art works to improvisational performances to bat walks. This community focused on world wide communication sparked my initial thought process into transmission arts as form of exploring locations and separation that I am currently exploring in my Slag Heap project.

You can find SoundCamp here.
