S l a g h e a p, is a short landscape film that follows the flight path of my grandmother’s racing pigeons as they fly over the slag heap.

Contrasting static shots of the scenic slag heap with arresting sound design built from a collection of field recordings I made through my three years living in London.

The film seeks to demonstrate the cultural, personal and political divides between my two homes.
